About the Steward

I am a New Zealand-born disciple of Christ living in the Netherlands with my Dutch husband and two children. I invite you to join me here to grow in the Living Word together. May we come to know our Messiah and the depths of His love, mercy and compassion for us and His whole Body, more and more daily.

My prayer is that through the Living Word and the anointing of the Holy Spirit in our midst here and in our respective homes and local neighborhoods, that we and our children (and grandchildren) may come to a full knowledge of every good thing that is in us for the sake of Christ, as we fellowship together here and elsewhere, as a Body of Christ (Philemon 1:6-7). May our gentle spirit become known to all people. The Lord is near. May we not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving let our requests be made known to God that the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:5-7).

As a writer, my mission is grounded in the calling of my God upon my life:

In October, 2016, the Lord called me to feed His lambs and sheep, through the written word and to shine His light into the darkness, through penning poems in intercession. In February 2015, He had already called me to write laments to come to know Him intimately, and then to share the fruit of this healing journey with more than just my friends, on a blog and in a book.

In obedience to His repeated call and confirmations, through the fruit evidenced in my life and that of my readers, I now write to:

  • come to know my God ever more through adoration, the renewal of my mind and repentance
  • share my (growing) testimony to God’s saving grace, character of love and heart of mercy
  • feed hungry and thirsty souls the pure and unadulterated Word of God
  • give the voiceless a voice, through the Holy Spirit’s anointing and movement, shining light into darkness
  • give thanks and reveal the beauty of my Maker and His fingerprints

I write:

  • poetry
  • Instagram posts
  • blog posts
  • essays (for TCKs for Christ)
  • devotions
  • devotionals
  • Bible studies
  • emails
  • whatsapp texts

I write for:

  • those called to intercession
  • those healing from abuse and trauma
  • third culture kids
  • those hungry and thirsty to grow in the Word of God, through Bible study

I write transparently, courageously and zealously, but also with the utmost gentility, guided by the Spirit’s leading, never forgetting I can do nothing but by God’s grace, as, by this daily grace, I abide in Him and His Word. I also write with great clarity, shining the light of His revelation upon those sitting in darkness, as He shines the light of His countenance upon me too.

I am not afraid of the rebukes that may come, seeking to grow in my Lord and the talent of writing He has given me to invest in, grow in and build up the church with. I understand that my calling requires an ever growing humility and a teachable heart. May my heavenly Father grant me this humble and teachable heart, through His Son in me.

I am called to witness authentically to the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, in open and public confession. As the Lord continues to heal me and comfort me through His intercession in my writing, may this healing become a light to the nations, calling ever more souls home into the heart of our Lord. May the Lord multiply His grace through all that I share and may I only ever share that which I am (continuing) to live out, by His overflowing grace.

  1. Steward: The Lord delivered me from leukemia so with His help I developed my website rhemalogy.com which you visited. Thank you, but I would really love to put your devotional description in my Book Review section I believe it would bless my readers and I would point them to your website.

    1. Thank you for visiting and encouraging me. It’s wonderful to hear of your physical healing. God works in such personal and intimate ways, doesn’t He? Sometimes He heals physically to bless His Body spiritually and sometimes He withholds physical healing because He knows it will bring greater spiritual healing to His Body. Thank you for reminding me again how intimately and personal our God works.
